Whether you're cleaning your home office or a large corporate office, have a checklist for your cleaning process will make the execution of the task much easier. The number of elements and deep cleaning of each element depends on the size and type of office you're cleaning. The time required for cleaning offices varies.

Organize

Before starting any type of heavy cleaning, get organized. Collect small items that may be out of place in the office, such as pens, pencils, notebooks or books. Place each item in its proper place. In some cases, such as corporate offices, you might not exhaustive collection session before starting cleanup required. Therefore, if you are cleaning an office for someone else, ask about arranging items before starting work.

Dispose of waste

One of the tasks more easily forgotten in an office cleaning is getting rid of waste, so you should place it at the beginning or end of your list. Collect all the obvious waste in the office, such as leftover food and drink, and take the bags of all waste containers and take them away. If recycling containers, remove the recyclables from the trash and take it to its proper place.

Dust

Before sweeping, clean dust all surfaces, including any shelf, desk, table and reception desk. It begins in the higher areas of the room, near the ceiling, and works down. Do not forget to clean the dust from items that are not visible, like the blades of the ceiling fan, if possible, with each cleaning. For lasting cleaning, use a furniture wax to help repel future dust.

Clean glass surfaces and other surfaces

Clean all glass surfaces and other special surfaces with appropriate cleaning products. Use glass cleaner to clean the surface of any mirror or window, as the window of the front door. Other special products such as furniture polish, wax or copper cleaner cleaning will also be used to clean the appropriate surfaces, if necessary.

Sweep and mop

Once all the cleaning is completed in a room, sweep and mop the floor. Vacuum the floor if the floor has carpet. For hard surface floors, pass a mop after sweeping to get a thorough cleaning. Use a mop on hardwood floors. To get rid of the heavy dirt, use a mop on wood floors cleaner for hardwood floors.
